Wilson Dam, Bhandardara

Built in 1910 across River Pravara, Wilson Dam is situated at a height of 150 m above sea level. It’s one of the oldest dams in the country. The opening of sluice gates creates two 60 to 80 feet cascades of water that plummet to the rocks below. When gates are open it creates a fall called as Umbrella falls. Garden is made at its base. Walking over the dam is prohibited and is under CCTV surveillance.

    1. 3 days full is sufficient to visit all places. Bhandardara is indeed beautiful during monsoon when the dam is full and gates are open. Randha falls flows fiercely. Try to pre plan your journey so that you can visit various places efficiently. If you can, try climbing the Kalsubai Peak if you have time left. ENJOY THE HILLS AND HAPPY JOURNEY.
